Renowned for its 80-year legacy, this masterpiece by the legendary perfumer Kinjuro Masuda offers a supreme scent with complex interweaving notes of medicinal herbs and violet. Known especially as the "green package," it is deeply familiar to the people of Osaka and has been cherished since its release in 1930 (Showa 5).

The "Shochikubai" series delicately and intricately combines a variety of Eastern and Western ingredients, including sandalwood, agarwood, cinnamon bark, and sweet grass. Created to offer high quality suitable not only for Buddhist ceremonies but also for use in living rooms or studies (the forerunner of modern living incense).

Moreover, Kinjuro Masuda, the second-generation master perfumer and developer at Kokkando, paid special attention to the incense’s shape. Believing that the way the fragrance rises is different, he insisted on the manufacturing-challenging square-shaped incense sticks.
