Product Description
Product Description
Created under the Hachiya Family Tradition, Head Family of the Shinoryu Kōdō (Shino School of Incense).
A distinctive incense characterized by the sharp, refined bitterness of aromatic woods — dignified and memorable in its depth.
Presented in an Akebono Jar, featuring a soft silhouette and a gentle combination of dawn-inspired hues, sealed with layered Japanese paper.
Each jar is handmade, so slight variations in color and pattern reflect the individuality of the craft.
Also ideal as a refined gift.
About Nerikō (Kneaded Incense):
A traditional Japanese incense made by blending fine aromatic powders with honey or plum pulp, then aging the mixture in a jar to cultivate a mellow, layered fragrance.
Referenced in Heian-period literature as takimono, nerikō remains a cherished element in tea ceremonies and the art of kōdō.
