Gyokushodo Tani Agarwood Kakuwari-Style Inko 15g (0801)

This pressed incense is made from a base of charcoal powder and mineral material, blended with approximately 60% natural agarwood (jinkō). Using a proprietary molding process, it is shaped into a traditional block-cut style form that resembles split agarwood pieces.

Due to the recent decline in quality and availability of Southeast Asian sinking-grade agarwood suitable for block cutting, authentic agarwood chunks have become increasingly difficult to source. This block-style pressed incense is intended as a practical substitute for natural agarwood block pieces used in heating-style incense practice.

It is specially formulated so that it will not continue burning on its own. Always use it together with an incense charcoal tablet when heating.
