About Akahada Ware
Akahada ware is traditional pottery fired in Gojō-cho, Nara City, and is recognized as one of the Enshū Seven Kilns. The name “Akahada” is said to derive either from the local place name or from the clay’s high iron content, which gives the surface a subtle reddish hue.
Characterized by its soft, warm milky-white tone with a gentle blush of red, Akahada ware often features traditional Nara-e style motifs, reflecting the refined cultural heritage of Nara.
This incense plate embodies that quiet elegance, offering both artistic presence and practical use. An incense clip is included for convenient enjoyment of stick incense.
