Description
Description
Kyara is the finest and rarest form of agarwood—a gift of nature nurtured over many decades. Exceptionally rich in resin, it is considered the highest grade among all agarwood varieties, and its value is often said to be five times that of gold. Its noble fragrance embodies all of the “five tastes” of scent: sweet, sour, spicy, salty, and bitter. As the principal aromatic material used in Kōdō, the Japanese art of incense appreciation, kyara is extraordinarily precious; less than 1% of all agarwood trees are believed to yield harvestable fragrant wood.
Kyara resin is traditionally classified into five types—green, black, purple, yellow, and white oils. Among these, the finest green oil and the depth-enhancing yellow oil are blended to create a fragrance that brings out kyara’s profound, ethereal sweetness.
Pairing Example:
• With Agarwood: The ultimate expression of luxury. The fragrance gains another layer of depth, revealing a rich, honey-like sweetness.
Ingredients: Kyara (Vietnam), Makko (tabu bark powder) (Thailand)
