An LED candle with the realistic texture of real wax that recreates the natural flicker of a flame. A traditional pattern of Japanese flowers that brightens a butsudan or Buddhist altar room. Used as a pair, it can also serve as a Bon lantern (bon-chochin).

The "Iroha Uta" is a poem that begins with "Iro wa nioedo chirinuru wo". It is said to express, in hiragana, the truth taught in the Buddhist Nirvana Sutra. Everything in this world changes; nothing lasts forever, and all things must one day pass away.

The lotus pattern runs all the way around the candle, so any side can face the front. Miyabi features five plants: chrysanthemum, bellflower, bush clover, peony and ivy. The splendor of the delicately blooming flowers harmonizes with the ivy that seems to embrace them, evoking a graceful and refined scene.

How to use

• Set the switch on the bottom to "ON" to turn the light on. To turn it off, set it to "OFF".
• Remove the protective film to enjoy the texture of the wax.
• If the light stops working or becomes dim, replace both batteries with new ones.
• The color of the body may change over time.
• On rare occasions it may turn on or off in response to the remote control of a TV or other electrical appliance.
