Osagawa Nisaburo Shoten Jokoban Incense Trail Stencil Set Spiral Pattern

This stencil is used for trail burning in a jokoban. It shapes the powdered incense into a set pattern, and spreading the incense along the stencil lets it burn for a long time.

Two patterns are available, spiral and wave, and both are used in the same way. This is the spiral pattern.

How to use (see our step-by-step guide with photos)
Smooth the ash in the jokoban with the leveling board, then flatten it with the ash press. Place the stencil in the center, pour powdered incense into the grooves and level it evenly with the board. Fit the stencil press into the stencil, press it in slightly, and lift the stencil and stencil press straight up together to leave the pattern on the ash. Light one end with a short piece of incense stick or a long-nosed lighter, and the incense burns along the trail from that end.
