Description
Description
It opens with a fresh, citrus-spicy top note, where cinnamon (cassia) and borneol are brightened by mandarin. This leads into a soft, lingering sweetness—grounded in natural sandalwood and blended with traditional herbal ingredients—creating a powdery, modern Japanese fragrance with a calm, refined character.
Okiyome-koh is a traditional powdered incense used since ancient times to cleanse the body and ward off negative influences.
It is made by blending finely powdered aromatic ingredients such as sandalwood, star anise, borneol, cinnamon, and clove.
Traditionally, it is used for purification before copying sutras or in front of Buddhist altars. In recent years, it has also been enjoyed as a subtle Japanese-style fragrance—light and refined, never overpowering.
Take a small amount in your hand and gently rub it onto your palms or body; the warmth of your skin releases a soft fragrance.
