Shoyeido Kikikoro Raku Ware Incense Burner (Red) (718202)

Raku ware began in the Momoyama period under the guidance of Sen no Rikyu and has long been cherished by tea masters as a uniquely Japanese form of pottery.

This kikikoro (incense burner) is crafted using traditional techniques. Each piece is individually removed from the kiln with special metal chopsticks, which leave characteristic marks on the surface—traces appreciated as part of its charm. Made by the Raku-nyu kiln.

Although listed as red, the actual color of this incense burner is closer to a warm orange-red tone, adding brightness and character to its refined presence.
