Yamadamatsu Small Incense Charcoal (40 Pieces) (33573)

These small charcoal briquettes are ideal for use in kodo (incense appreciation) or soradaki (airing incense without direct burning).
When using buried in ash, be sure to light the charcoal until the surface glows red before covering.
If not sufficiently lit, the fire may go out once buried in the ash. Always use sturdy metal tongs that can withstand heat when handling.
