Yamadamatsu Kariroku Jouhin Purple Cord Autumn Grasses Sachet (81504-11)

Kariroku is originally the name of a deciduous tree native to Southeast Asia. Its fruit has medicinal properties and was believed to ward off evil spirits. This piece imitates the shape of that fruit and is filled with scented incense.
It is made of Nishijin brocade fabric from Kyoto in a "kari"-shaped pouch, finished with a "kesa-musubi" knot of pure silk braided cord. A set with a display stand for gift giving is also available.
