Widely used at temples including Kongōbu-ji, the head temple of Kōyasan, this incense is prepared from carefully selected natural aromatics based on the traditional Buddhist “Five Fragrances” recorded in ancient Indian scriptures: agarwood, sandalwood, clove, borneol, and turmeric, along with other natural fragrance materials.

Each stick is 32 cm long (1 shaku 2 sun), offered as one bundle. This extra-long format is especially suitable for formal ceremonies, extended offerings, and traditional temple-style use at the home altar.
