Frankincense (Nyūkō): One of the three great aromatic woods alongside agarwood and sandalwood. Cherished by humanity for thousands of years, it was once valued even more highly than gold. This incense is crafted with the finest quality frankincense gathered from the eastern regions of the Arabian Peninsula, including present-day Oman.

The package features a design inspired by a 4,000-year-old ancient Egyptian wall painting depicting a king offering frankincense to the gods. The inner wrapping paper evokes the majestic beauty of the Arabian deserts stretching under the radiant sun.

This incense recalls the historic “Frankincense Road,” which carried the treasured resin from Oman across the seas and along the Silk Road, eventually reaching Japan together with Buddhism.
