Frankincense (Nyūkō): One of the three great aromatic woods, alongside agarwood and sandalwood. Cherished by humanity for thousands of years, it was once considered even more precious than gold. This incense is crafted with the finest quality frankincense gathered from the eastern regions of the Arabian Peninsula, including present-day Oman.

The package design is inspired by a 4,000-year-old ancient Egyptian wall painting depicting a king offering frankincense to the gods. The inner wrapping paper reflects the vast beauty of the Arabian deserts bathed in sunlight.

This incense recalls the historic “Frankincense Road,” along which the treasured resin traveled from Oman by sea and camel caravans to Egypt and Greece, eventually reaching Japan together with Buddhism.
